A Concise, Elegant Exploration of Time
The Carnegie Public Library will be hosting group discussions of the book The Order of Time by Carlo Rovelli. “Meet the new Stephen Hawking” declares Britain’s Sunday Times about this “dazzling book.” Why do we remember the past and not the future? What does it mean for time to "flow"? Do we exist in time or does time exist in us? In lyric, accessible prose, Carlo Rovelli invites us to consider questions about the nature of time that continue to puzzle physicists and philosophers alike.

The group, facilitated by Gary Milczarek, will listen to a portion of the audiobook and discuss the ideas presented. It is not necessary to have a copy of the book, but it may be helpful. The sessions will be held in the meeting room weekly on Wednesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. The program is free and open anyone who is interested.
